London College of Fashion Girl

My campus at Lime Grove, which my mum said looked like a prison, thanks mum...

Ok, so I've said in posts that I am hoping to go to London College of Fashion next september (if I get my exams, eek!) anyway, I thought the time had come to tell you a little bit about my course. I'm planning on doing a BA in Fashion Journalism, which covers the history of the media, the history of fashion, interviewing techniques, shorthand (this is the part I'm dreading), video production, visual communication, like setting up a photo shoot (!!!), magazine styling and numerous other extremely cool and exciting things! I think it's fair to say that I'm pretty hysterical about it all. What made me decide to take the course was not only that it sounded amazing, but that LCF has one of the best reputations in the country for fashion colleges. One thing I am nervous about however is leaving home for the first time. I'm staying near the Thames, so it's a great location (you can see the London eye from our flat in halls), but leaving home and family will be a big step. I will have to learn complete independence, even learning how to use the washing machine! Anyway, the course sounds great, and I'm really looking forward to what I'm sure will be a great experience. If anyone has been or is attending LCF, or knows someone who has in the past, especially if they are studying a journalism related subject, then let me know, oh, and any tips for moving out for the first time would be greatly appreciated! xx

  1. That program sounds amazing, I wish I could afford to go to a school like that... good luck with your exams! And I love all of the uses of the red belts/straps in the first photo! Really cool stuff!

    Cheers!
