Let me begin by apologizing for my absence over the last two months, but we have had our hands full with creating and launching AVIS, a brand new fashion and lifestyle magazine offering an escape from that altogether hectic London schedule. In our first issue, we are concentrating on women and business, from the stereotypical views of the 'ice woman' (think Anna Wintour on a bad day) to the argument of whether society has truly reached a stage of equilibrium between both sexes and business. Our features article 'Burberry and Social Media' explores fashion brands that are increasingly reliant on technology, and in particular the use of social media, in order to engage with customers. Currently AVIS is still in production, but I thought I would give you sneak preview of what to expect in the coming weeks. Underneath is just a snippet of our editorial. Headed by our amazing Fashion Director, Colin Dawidzuik, it illustrates the strong graphic prints that we are set to see this summer, from hot pink galaxy prints at McQ to clashing patterns at Peter Pilotto, the effect is strong, yet enchantingly surreal.
